David Kunkel, MAI has joined Hilco Real Estate Appraisal

David Kunkel, MAI has joined Hilco Real Estate Appraisal, LLC as Managing Director, and will be located in Chicago's western suburban of Lisle, Illinois.  Dave is joined by a team including Don Livingston, Bill Lukes, Elizabeth Strand, Stephanie Velde, Sheila Franke and Nancy Nanke.

Dave has been active in the real estate valuation industry since 1981. He has held the MAI designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute since 1989, and is also a licensed Real Estate Broker, holding the commercial/investment designation of CCIM. During his career Dave has worked with a variety of property types including multi-family, retail, office, industrial, self-storage, land development and special purpose properties such as churches, synagogues and communications towers. He has qualified on numerous occasions as an expert witness involving real estate matters in various federal and local courts, as well as property tax appeal boards and planning and zoning commissions. Prior to joining Hilco Dave operated his own appraisal firm, Kunkel & Associates Inc., for over 25 years.

Hilco’s Chicago area real estate valuation team is now more than 20 strong with offices in downtown Chicago, Northbrook and Lisle.  Since its inception in 1999, Hilco’s real estate appraisal group has delivered thousands of valuations for private and institution clients under the direction of W. Todd Haney, MAI.
