The Opportunity
TThis individual will perform diligence, field examination and certain audit procedures at client companies that have
or are looking to obtain an asset-based loan and/or are the target of a proposed M&A transaction. Field/client site
responsibilities include performing all procedures required for Hilco to issue a report such as: management
interviews; analytical review/examination accounts receivable, inventory, trade payables and other relevant
financial or operational information; evaluation of receivable and inventory controls; as well as physical
inspection of inventory and facilities for retail, wholesale, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Meet with client management to discuss the company’s operations and performance
- Inspect/review a representation of the company’s inventory and operations
- Use existing, or develop new, financial models for the analysis of receivables and inventory across many
different industries
- Analyze company receivable and inventory data as to its composition, age, and other metrics for the purposes of
arriving at an asset-based value
- Perform test, verification or audit procedures on certain assets
- Test compliance with lender reporting
- Prepare a written report of observations in the field and valuation methods and findings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; Accounting Degree or CPA a plus
- 2-10 years financial analysis experience or accounting-related field (actual level will be commensurate with
candidate's experience)
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills, strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and familiarity with Access a
plus
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, attention to detail
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet aggressive deadlines
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under little supervision
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as this position will have routine interaction with
top company management
- Candidates should possess enthusiasm and the desire to work in a team environment
- Manufacturing or retail experience a plus
- Approximately 50% travel, primarily within North America

confidential, and critical "subjective" information
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to maintain a professional relationship with
clients, lenders, other professional and the Hilco team
